Bless Your Sunday School with Prayer
Create a Prayer Group for Your Sunday School Class

Are you in a Sunday School class or other group?  You can set up an online prayer group on the National Prayer Bank to make announcements, share prayer requests, make updates, and encourage each other.  When you create a prayer group, all of the prayers listed in the group have a Prayer Registry like the ones you see on the National Prayer Bank.  The Registry shows the date and time that each person prays as well as encouragements.  You can set it up so that it's private, and ony group members and those you share prayer requests with can see them.

Prayer is a powerful way to draw your group members closer to God and each other.  Is someone in your group expecting a baby?  Make a prayer request and post it to the group so they can cover that precious life with prayer.  Is someone getting married?   Bless that union with prayer.  You can encourage and support each other during times of blessing as well as in times of crisis.  Setting up an online prayer group is free and it's easy.  Here's how you do it:

  • Login and go to "My Community" on the bottom navigation bar.
  • Click "Create a Prayer Group."
  • Name Your Group and Describe it (you can even add a photo).
  • Choose your privacy setting (you will probably want to choose "private" or "public").
  • Choose who can invite others to join (only you or other group members).
  •  Choose who can post prayer requests (only you or other administrators).
  •  Select the tabs you want.
  • Go to your Group and click "Invite."  (You can change the wording on the invitation.)
  • As members join your group, you can go to "Group Options" and click on the "Members and Invitations" tab to make others administrators so that they can post announcements.

The God Who Answers Your Prayers is Infinite!

By Terry Taylor

You remain the same, and your years will never end. Psalm 102:27

God never grew.  In fact, He was never born. He was always there, and no one created Him. Our brains cannot understand that. Somehow, God has no beginning and no end.  God pointed to His timeless nature when He spoke to Moses from the burning bush, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”  (Exodus 3: 14)   God was saying, “I am the One who always is.” God exists outside of time.

There is no way to measure God.  We can’t understand this mystery, yet there is great comfort in His infinity. It is comforting to know that the God who is beyond time is always present and caring for us when we face difficult beginnings and endings in our own lives.  Because He is eternal, we know He will always be there.  And, we will live with him forever someday!

CLICK HERE if you would like to make a prayer request so that others can join you as you pray to the God who has always been there and always will be.

Join a Prayer Group
There is Power in Praying for One Another!

Join a prayer group and be encouraged as you pray for others with similar prayer needs such as healing, finances, marriage, relationships, grief support, and prodigals.  There are also prayer groups which will give you the opportunity to minister such as Prison Ministries, First Response, and One Nation Under God. Click on any of the links above and then look for the JOIN button.  Prayer is a powerful way of giving, and God promises to give back to those who give to others. “Give, and it will be given to you… For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)

Prayer Updates
Bryan's Surgery

Update #1   by Paula on 9/2/2011

Bryan's surgery went well except for a few complications. He has to refrain from moving his leg for the next five days. The doctor has said that if everything continues to go well and there are no more complications, he may be able to go home within the next seven to ten days. He will have to have more surgeries in the future, though. The doctors will just try to space them out. Please continue praying for this family. Thank you for your faithfulness.

Original Request

Bryan fell from a ladder and broke his leg. The doctors had to put screws and metal rods into Bryan's leg. After Bryan's surgery, his leg began to swell and his skin burst open, revealing the metal rod and screws. Bryan contracted a "staph" infection because of this. He is having surgery today and the doctors are going to do a number of skin graphs to attempt to close his wound. Doris is Bryan's wife and she is a Teacher's Aide, however she is having to miss work in order to care for Bryan. Please pray that God would give the doctors wisdom in treating Bryan and that God will give Doris strength and patience to care for him. I also ask God's financial blessings on them while they are both out of work.

Answered Prayers
Safety for Jimmy

ANSWERED PRAYER!

I would like to thank those who prayed for me and for Jimmy's safety. Thank you soooooo much for your prayers and words of encouragement, it helped me a lot and made me strong. He is now back in Virginia after 4 days of driving.  He will be having a 5-day training so he will not be able to email me so I am asking you, Father God, to send us your Holy Spirit to guide us and give us light especially Jimmy. I will be sacrificing for just 5 days without communication with him, but that sacrifice will be reciprocated since he is coming home next week so thank you, God. Finally we will be reunited. I know with you, he is in good hands.
